Every operator cosigning mosskeys checkpoints, listed with the identity they supplied and the cosignatures actually observed from them. Operators affiliated with mosskeys are labeled as such and never counted in the network claim above. Pin the vkeys you trust.

The witness network is still forming

No independent witnesses are live yet. Until at least two independent witnesses are live, checkpoints should be treated as self-attested: signed by each namespace's own key, with mosskeys unable to sign or alter them, but not yet cosigned by an independent third-party.

You choose whom to trust

A listing is transparency, not our endorsement: verifiers pin whichever witness vkeys they trust and check cosignatures locally — witness diversity (orgs, jurisdictions, infra) is the security property, not the raw count. The same roster is available to tooling as JSON at GET /api/witnesses.

Run one yourself

The network is strongest when its witnesses have nothing in common with each other or with us. If you operate independent infrastructure, we'd rather have you than ten more on our own rack (we run zero ourselves).
